Remodelling gives us the opportunity to look at what you already have and imagine what it could become.

Where suitable, existing diamonds and gemstones can become the starting point for a completely new piece. A traditional solitaire might become a contemporary pendant. Stones from an inherited ring could form part of a new engagement ring. Several sentimental pieces might inspire something completely unique.

Are lab-grown gemstones more affordable than natural gemstones?

In many cases, yes. Laboratory-grown gemstones can offer excellent value, allowing you to choose a larger size, richer colour or more intricate bespoke design while remaining within your preferred budget. The exact price depends on the gemstone type, size and quality.

Are lab-grown gemstones real gemstones?

Yes. Lab-grown gemstones are genuine gemstones with the same chemical, physical and optical properties as those formed naturally within the Earth. The only difference is how they are created. Instead of taking millions of years underground, they are grown in carefully controlled laboratory conditions that replicate nature’s process.

Are lab-grown gemstones the same as imitation or synthetic stones?

No. Lab-grown gemstones should not be confused with imitation stones such as glass or cubic zirconia. They are genuine gemstones with the same crystal structure, brilliance and durability as natural gemstones. Their origin is different, but their composition is the same.

Can I choose between natural and lab-grown gemstones?

Can lab-grown gemstones be set in gold or platinum?

Yes. Laboratory-grown gemstones can be set in exactly the same precious metals as natural gemstones, including platinum, 18ct gold, 14ct gold and other precious alloys. The jewellery is crafted using the same traditional techniques and attention to detail.

Yes. Every commission is individually designed around you. Whether you’re creating an engagement ring, pendant, earrings or a one-of-a-kind statement piece, we can incorporate carefully selected laboratory-grown gemstones into a design that’s entirely unique.

How long does a bespoke jewellery commission take?

Every commission is unique, but most bespoke projects are completed within six to ten weeks from design approval. Throughout the process, we’ll keep you informed as your jewellery moves from concept to completion.

A growing range of gemstones can now be produced in laboratory conditions, including sapphires, rubies, emeralds and spinels. Availability continues to expand, giving clients more choice than ever before for bespoke jewellery commissions.
